THE ALAN DUGDALE  STORY
IAN DUGDALE
It maybe Bias but my son Ian Dugdale was a good rider. Two days after his 16th birthday he rode at Oulton Park Cheshire in the 250cc on a H Dugdale Maxton Yamaha and finished 2nd, this was his first ever race. Because I was President of the club at the time I was allowed to start the race, can I say he was first away, must have read the flag and his Dad very well.
These are the Championship and lap records he achieved in his first full season aged 18. First time at I.O.M. MGP he finished second only the great Phil Mcullem beat him and he went on to four TT races in one week, only man to ever do this.
Everybody that knew Ian loved him, he was the nicest person you could ever meet or know.
He became ill in his early twenties and we lost him at only 27 years.
Yes, he would have been the best, I will always miss you son.
